Ford's new luxury brand SUV was presented. It's the Lincoln Navigator and it's 5.60 meters long! A road giant, no doubt.
Despite not having scheduled sales in Europe, we like to admire the models that inhabit the North American market, such as the new Lincoln Navigator. A rare species in the old continent, but quite popular in the U.S.A. The dimensions, the engines, the posture, everything exudes «Uncle Sam» in this SUV of gigantic proportions.
An 8-seat SUV, lots of cupholders and a variety of engines… limited. Only two, and large(!), both in size and consumption. The Lincoln Navigator will thus be available with a moderately “sparing” block 3.5 EcoBoost V6 and with a thirsty V8 with 5.4 liters of capacity.
With a strong focus on versatility, technology and space, comfort is something you will not lack. But the main novelty is sophisticated SYNC systems, similar to that used by Ford, with an 8-inch touchscreen. Its production is scheduled for this summer and will be assembled at the Louisville plant in the United States, so it will hit markets in the fall with prices starting at approximately $57,000. It will not be available on the European market and will face the king of American SUVs, the big Cadillac Escalade. Which one deserves your preference?
