The new Ford Mustang will only arrive in Portugal in 2015 in coupé and cabrio versions. With 5.0 V8 engines and a more «European» version, the 2.3 EcoBoost.
Ford today presents the most European Ford Mustang ever. The sports model from the American house repeats the recipe of its predecessors: front engine and rear wheel drive. Recipe to which it adds for the first time an evolved independent suspension on the rear axle. This constitutes an absolute novelty in the history of a model that will, in this generation, be more global than ever.
Another big news is the debut of the 2.3 four-cylinder engine with EcoBoost technology, this one with the intention of attacking the European market. An engine that will develop more than 300hp and 407 Nm of torque, and that will be one of the main arguments of the brand here, in the «old continent». In addition to this, there will also be a real «muscle» engine, as the Ford Mustang deserves: a 5.0 V8 with 426 hp and 529 Nm. Both can be coupled to a manual or automatic transmission.
The new Ford Mustang also features numerous technologies, including: Intelligent Access, SYNC infotainment system with touch screen, MyFord Touch, MyColor and the new 12-speaker Shaker Pro hi-fi system. The Mustang GT will also have a launch control system as standard.
In aesthetic terms, it is noted that there was a certain care on the part of the brand in giving it a less "American" look. Nevertheless, of course, we found the characteristic “shark bite” front and the trapezoidal grille at the front. Scheduled for its debut in Portugal in 2015, this will be the "great sports car" that Ford lacked in Europe.
