A new (and short) movie revealed that there is still life in the Devel Sixteen . But the only thing the new video reminded us of was how problematic it is being to deliver the promised numbers — for almost a year we've been reporting on precisely that, and since then, we haven't seen any new developments.
The task is Herculean — how to manage the heat caused by a V16 with 12 300 cm3, four turbos and 5000 hp (and more than 5000 Nm) ? How to get the rear axle to put so many horses on asphalt?
And the 560 km/h declared? Even the super Michelins of the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport "crashed" in tests at 511 km/h, a feat at all levels surprising, but short for Devel's ambitions.

Supposedly, several versions of the Sixteen are planned, with more “modest” powers of 2000hp and 3000hp (V8 tetra-turbo) — this Instagram post announces the recent sale of a 3000hp Sixteen to its first Japanese customer:
But the truth is, we're all still waiting for the hypercar to destroy all the other hypercars — the 5000 hp Devel Sixteen. Will we ever see him? The short video:
