Lamborghini Huracán Performante will lose its top. Is this the Spyder version?

Imagined by designer Aksyonov Nikita, the model shown in the images could be very close to the Lamborghini Huracán Performante Spyder, scheduled for the Frankfurt Salon.

It wasn't that long ago that the Lamborghini Huracán Performante became the fastest production model ever on the Nürburgring. The title was claimed just days before the grand premiere at the Geneva Motor Show – 6:52.01 minutes is how long it took to get around the “Green Inferno”.

Lamborghini wasted no time celebrating the record achieved on the German circuit and is already preparing the new Huracán Performante Spyder, the convertible version of its latest sports car. And if one of the strengths of the Huracán Performante was its weight – around 40 kg lighter than the standard model – will the Spyder spoil the diet?

For now, the only clues about the new model have been given through a camouflaged prototype caught circulating on public roads. Based on these images, new drawings (in the images) of the upcoming Lamborghini Huracán Performante Spyder come from Russia, created by designer Aksyonov Nikita.

More than the aesthetic component, in this "open-air" version, it is interesting to know how the performance will be impaired (or not). The current Huracán Perfomante achieves 0-100km/h in just 2.9 seconds and 0-200 km/h in just 8.9 seconds , an unbridled race that only finishes at 325 km/h top speed. Numbers that may suffer a slight increase with the foreseeable increase in the weight of the set motivated by structural reinforcements.

Returning will also be the atmospheric V10 engine of 5.2 liters with 630 hp and 600 Nm of maximum torque – the same that equips the other versions of the model. The presentation of Huracán Perfomante should take place at the Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
