The «anti-911» will finally receive an open-air version. It's called the Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster and it will be fully unveiled in Paris.
Beyond the obvious, everything we can say about the new Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster is just speculation. It is a version in everything the same as the already known AMG GT, except of course in the retractable canvas hood – lighter and more elegant than the metallic hoods.
Mercedes has already confirmed that this model will be called GT Roadster, hence the fact that the brand discloses a version dubbed “GT C Roadster” raises some doubts. The hypothesis that C stands for a cabriolet is outright ruled out as the brand has also announced the launch of a GT C Roadster version. Most likely, it is a Clubsport (C) version, which should be placed between the GT S (Sport) and GT R (Racing) versions.
We believe that in addition to the GT C Roadster version, the launch of other versions is also in the pipeline, as is the case with the GT Coupé version. The debut of this GT in the «open skies» is scheduled for the end of this month, at the Paris Motor Show.
