The Alfa Romeo 4C was unveiled in 2011 and at the time everyone was skeptical about the possibility of going into production.

Apparently, it seems that Alfa chose to surprise everyone and everything – despite the current in the market insisting on pushing the brands out on their feet, the 4C has an announced engine and numbers that leave us speechless. Firm, the Italian brand seems to move forward without fear – and it is already walking through the Italian streets of Turin!

I will not lie to you, I am suspicious writing about this article. In addition to being passionate about Italian cars, I am an eternal Alfista. My Alpha takes me everywhere every day and every day I have fun like it's the first time I've done it. Electrical and mechanical problems are almost nil and those that exist at Mercedes and BMW also have them, and taking into account that these cost much more, Alfa is proof against criticism.

A true return to origins

After a little defense typical of my car's brand, I'll tell you about the next “baby” of the acronym C, the 4C. Words for what? As for the design, it is an ode to all that is good in car beauty – modern and inspiring lines, without ever forgetting history, but pointing to the future as the objective to be achieved.

The Alfa Romeo 4C promises to go head-on in the fight against the Lotus Evora, and let the British hold on – in addition to the superb appearance, the heart of the 4C will be a 1.8 with 300hp. Little bit? It would be little if this Alfa didn't weigh just 820 kg! The sprint from 0 to 100 will be under 5 seconds and the top speed will be limited to 250km/h. Rear-wheel drive and dual-clutch gearbox promise!

This is expected to be the return of Alfa Romeo to the reference sports, where the passion for speed and unmistakable design intend to mark the brand's history once again. Until then, let's see Alfa Romeo's efforts to create the true “cuore sportivo”!
