BMW brought an "army" of plug-in hybrids to Geneva

Contrary to what you might think, not just the launch of the renewed Series 7 BMW participated in the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Proof of this is the launch not of one, not of two, but of six plug-in hybrid versions of some of its most important models.

From the German brand's minivan (Series 2 Active Tourer) to its top of the range, passing through the SUV, the best-selling 3 Series and even the 5 Series, BMW has invested heavily in electrifying the range and decided to show the result of that bet in the Swiss salon.

Interestingly (or perhaps not), BMW has decided to reveal its lineup of plug-in hybrid models in precisely the same salon where archrival Audi presented its plug-in hybrid proposals, still predicting a “war” within the salon doors. if it's going to get stuck in the sales tables all over the world.

A BMW 7 Series, three plug-in hybrid versions

The electrification of the BMW range starts right away with its renewed flagship, the 7-Series. Series 2, 3 and 5 are also electrified

Finally, the Series 2 Active Tourer, the Series 3 and the Series 5 also saw their plug-in hybrid versions presented in Geneva. The BMW 225x and Active Tourer came with a combined power of 224 hp and extended autonomy in electric mode up to 57 km , CO2 emissions of 43 g/km and an average consumption of just 1.9 l/100 km.

already the new BMW 330e Sedan offers 252 hp of combined power and 60 km autonomy in electric mode and an average consumption of just 1.7 l/100 km. The CO2 emissions are 39 g/km.
