Hyundai does not give up on conquering the European market, bringing the latest Hyundai i20 to Paris. With the difficult task of rivaling the B-segment proposals, the Hyundai i20 has dressed in a new skin and gains new mechanical arguments to face the competition, while the Hyundai i30 gains a version that emits 86g/km of CO2.
The new Hyundai i20 is not just a redesigned product, the platform is completely new and just for that simple fact, Hyundai has improved the internal living space quotas. With more room for the occupants, the Hyundai i20 grew a few centimeters compared to the model that ceases to function.

With a luggage capacity increase of 10%, the Hyundai i20 now has 326l of capacity, far surpassing the trunk capacity of most competitors.
Inside is a completely redesigned new console, an attempt by Hyundai to demonstrate the youthfulness of the Hyundai i20. This positioning also involves offering leather seats depending on the level of equipment and for traditional fabric seats, the Hyundai i20 will feature patterns that match the exterior color.
In terms of mechanics, the Hyundai i20 brings with it a major innovation: it will be responsible for the debut of the new 1.0l turbo Hyundai T-GDI block, with direct injection. Entirely developed on European soil, this small engine delivers an interesting 120 horsepower and a maximum torque of 172Nm, but will only enter service in 2015.
The Hyundai i20's suspension is also completely new, with new shock absorbers and a different tuning for more comfort, taking advantage of a stronger chassis.
The Hyundai i20 will start its commercialization in November 2014, with the initial offer proposed by the power units already existing in the brand, starting in block 1.2 gasoline with 85hp and 1.4 with 100hp, and the Diesel offer is limited to 1.4 of 90hp.
As for the equipment, Hyundai, true to itself, has the Hyundai i20 equipped with a very complete equipment. The ESC is standard on all versions as well as the ESS, which automatically switches on the 4 turn signals in case of sudden deceleration, the Hill Hold system will also be present and the audible indicator for occupants without seatbelts.
Speaking of the quality of life on board the Hyundai i20, the South Korean brand makes its first ever panoramic roof with opening in its cars, as well as the possibility of the Hyundai i20 having an optional reversing camera, integrated navigation system and interior plastics with a superior quality, made in Olefin thermoplastic.
The Hyundai novelties are not exhausting and the older brother of the Hyundai i20, the i30, comes with a new engine 14kg lighter than the current 1.4 atmospheric, the 1.4l T-GDI powered by CNG (compressed natural gas). It delivers a modest 117hp and 206Nm of maximum torque and comes with a new 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
