Abarth 1000 Bialbero: «La Principessa» up for auction

Anonim

The extremely rare Abarth 1000 Bialbero will be featured in an auction organized by Gooding & Company.

Nicknamed “La Principessa”, the Abarth 1000 Bialbero made its debut at the Turin Motor Show in 1960. Its streamlined and seductive shapes – the design was in charge of Pininfarina – left those who gazed at it with drooping jaws, however it was the his performance on the tracks that conquered the general public.

Thanks to a small 1.0 four-cylinder engine with 100 hp of power, coupled with a four-speed gearbox, this Italian single-seater was responsible for nine world records, including the record of 72 hours (in a row) at an average of 186 km /H.
