Subaru returns to Isle of Man record

Every year Subaru travels to the Isle of Man to participate in one of the most dangerous road racing events in the world: the Isle of Man TT.

Mark Higgins, a well-known rally driver, once again teamed up with Subaru to try to beat his own record at the Isle of Man TT, a public road speed test that annually brings together some of the world's boldest drivers on two wheels.

This year Higgins achieved a cannon time of 17m49.75s at an average of 204.44 km/h, spraying his previous record of 19m15s. Where did Higgins get this almost 2 minute differential? To the car. Because unlike previous years, this year Subaru prepared a WRX STI from “high to low”: 500hp of power; competition suspensions; Dunlop Sport Max tires; and greater aerodynamic support.
