WRX STI turns 20
It was in 1994 that the acronym STI (Subaru Tecnica International) was created and exclusively for models manufactured in the Japanese market. The first STI was known only as WRX STI and was launched in 1994. The production of the model began in February 1994 and the line left 100 copies per month. The first Subaru WRX STI had 247 horsepower.
