BMW has a new race car for GT4 class drivers and teams, the M235i Racing. Model that will be available to buyers in 2014 for a price of €59,500 (excluding taxes).

For those who dream of competing on the Nürburgring in the VLN Championship or in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, BMW has a new proposal: the M235i Racing. This model, which appears as a replacement for the M3 GT4, is the new gateway to BMW Motorsport competition vehicles.

In addition to all the aesthetic changes leading to greater aerodynamic support – too obvious… and how well they fit you! – the M235i Racing also comes standard with new suspensions, larger diameter brakes, an FIA-certified safety cell, competition fuel tank and a limited-slip mechanical differential. The electronics were also revised, namely ABS and ESP for the specific racing conditions.

Under the hood we find the six-in-line that equips the series model, now tuned to deliver 329hp of power. In the words of Jens Marquardt, Director of BMW Motorsport, this was the best way that BMW Motorsport found to “allow ambitious teams and drivers to have an affordable way to compete”. For €59,500 (excluding VAT) it looks like the mission has been accomplished.
