More than a car, the Porsche 912 is a traveling companion for American John Benton.
Developed as a more affordable variant of the 911, the Porsche 912 is just beginning to gain some recognition. Although it was cheaper and had better fuel consumption, the 912 never saw the commercial success of the Porsche 911.John Benton, owner of an independent Porsche garage in California, is a self-confessed lover of the Stuttgart brand. In his garage rests a Porsche 912, bought by John when he was 23 years old. “This car is not just me, it's all the people I came across until I got here. The car is the result of all these little trips”, he confesses.
Since then, he has been perfecting his beloved 912 bit by bit. Suspensions, engine, brakes, little by little everything has been improved with respect for the original design.
