The new Ford Focus RS marks the beginning of a new era of sporty Ford models.

Ford expects to produce around 41,000 performance vehicles in Europe in 2016, a number well above the 29,000 units built in 2015 and reflecting the increase in sales in recent years. The Michigan brand even plans to introduce 12 new models by the year 2020.

Among the models responsible for the brand's growth, the Focus RS stands out, whose new version will be powered by a variant of the Ford EcoBoost block of 2.3 liters, with 350 hp of power and which allows an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds. In addition, the new model debuts the Ford Performance All Wheel Drive system, which guarantees greater levels of handling, grip and speed in corners.

Since the opening of the European order process, more than 3,100 reservations have been registered for the Focus RS and 13,000 for the Ford Mustang; Ford Focus ST sales increased 160% in 2015 compared to the previous year. On the brand's horizon will be the new Ford GT, which will enter production at the end of 2016 and whose number of units will be limited.
