Lexus has revealed the technical specifications of the Lexus LC 500h. Get to know the news that the Japanese brand has prepared for the Geneva Motor Show.

First unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show, the Lexus LC 500 marked Lexus' return to the grand coupés. At the Swiss event, place is reserved for the Lexus LC 500h, a sports car that combines performance with more efficient driving.

The new Multi Stage Hybrid system – the next generation of hybrid systems specifically developed for high-performance vehicles – on the Lexus LC 500, combines an electric motor and a V6 petrol engine with 3.5l and a 4-speed automatic transmission, mounted behind the hybrid transmission. Acceleration from 0-100km/h is achieved in less than 5 seconds, thanks to the combination of 295hp at 6,600 rpm and 348Nm of torque at 4,900 rpm with the electric motor that produces 60hp, generating a combined power of 354hp.

The Lexus LC 500h is the first model from Toyota's luxury brand to benefit from the new rear-wheel-drive platform – GA-L -, which will serve as the basis for future front-engine and rear-wheel-drive models in the Lexus range.

Inspired by the LF-LC concept, the Lexus LC 500h features an “athletic” design that characterizes the new Lexus design philosophy – the “L-finesse”. The new Lexus hybrid measures 4,760mm long, 1,920mm wide, 1.345mm in height and 2.870mm in wheelbase. In terms of safety, the new Lexus LC 500h is equipped with the Lexus Safety System +, with new active safety devices designed to support the driver and prevent accidents in various situations.

The official presentation of the Lexus LC 500h is scheduled for next month and will take place at the Geneva Motor Show.
