The coupé version of the Honda Civic Type-R should be lighter than the hatchback version that is already on sale (see here).
Since we tested the Honda Civic Type-R during its international presentation, it hasn't come out of our minds. It's fast, radical and rewards the driver with the kind of sensations that make us like cars.
To these dynamic credentials, Honda is set to add even greater aesthetic appeal with the introduction of the Honda Civic Coupé Type-R. A model that won't hit the market until 2018 – unfortunately. The images accompanying this article are speculative, but should come closer to the final version as they are based on the Civic Coupé Concept.

If no major changes are expected in terms of the powertrain – the 2.0 Turbo engine delivers an expressive 310hp and 400Nm of maximum torque – it is possible that the coupé version is lighter and dynamically sharper. Unfortunately, to resolve these doubts we will have to wait at least two years...
