Despite the 4Matic all-wheel drive system from Mercedes, being present in several models, it has different settings and settings, in the case of the A 45 AMG, CLA 45 AMG and GLA 45 AMG models, where the engine and transmission group are mounted so transverse, the traction on these models has greater distribution on the front axle, being distributed to the rear axle only when necessary.
The 4Matic system has different settings on the other models, which have the mechanical assemblies mounted longitudinally, in which the traction is sent to the rear axle and, whenever necessary, distributed to the front axle.
The resistant G-Class also has the 4Matic system, and in this model the set-up is totally different from others. As it is an all terrain, here the system exerts a symmetrical distribution of traction between axles, making the variation through the electronic systems, or through the manual blocking of the 3 differentials.
