Created exclusively for the virtual world, the BMW Vision Gran Turismo is a racing machine and will be available exclusively in the game Gran Turismo 6, for Playstation.
In an exercise of freedom, BMW Group Design, decided to get down to work and transfer to the virtual world all the essence of what BMW represents. But the BMW Vision Gran Turismo is not just an exercise in style for a virtual model, in fact, the BMW Vision Gran Turismo also sets a trend for the future when it comes to racing models.
The BMW Vision Gran Turismo is the emancipation of the entire M experience, capturing its essence, the BMW Vision Gran Turismo is based on a 2 Series M235i, but with a fully track-oriented body kit consisting of bumpers with deflectors aerodynamics of epic proportions and a GT wing integrated into the body line.

Something that is not unfamiliar to the statements made by Karim Habib, BMW Design Director and, according to him, and starting to quote, «The BMW Vision Gran Turismo is an exceptional piece of engineering, with a focus on precise driving, thought and designed for run and win».

In the BMW Vision Gran Turismo the N55B block delivers an expressive 549 horsepower at 6200rpm, constant up to 7300rpm, and the monstrous torque is not far behind: there are 680Nm, available as early as 1900rpm.

Managing the M Power stud is a 6-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shift control on the steering wheel and, of course, the BMW Vision Gran Turismo shares the BMW philosophy, with a 50:50 weight distribution between axles. The total weight is around 1180kg.
It is true that models like this BMW Vision Gran Turismo are born from the invitation made by the creator of the «best seller» of driving simulators, Kazunori Yamauchi, on the occasion of the 15 years of the Gran Turismo saga. But that doesn't detract from BMW's merits, quite the contrary, in fact BMW fans are yearning for a model that brings back the appeal of unrestrained driving, the true pure driving pleasure that BMW so touts.
