Volvo refreshes the image of its S60, V60 and XC60 models

Volvo's S60 sedan, V60 wagon and XC60 crossover all went together to the “barbershop” and came from there looking pleasantly rejuvenated.

The “barber” on duty – meaning the designer – has spread its magic especially to the front bumpers of the three models, now making them more subtle with the painstaking alterations to the air intakes and front grille. There were also some changes to the headlights, more evident in the S60, which no longer wears its little “pair of glasses”.

The respective rears, although less, also suffered aesthetic changes, where the main highlight goes to the new exhaust pipes that fit perfectly into the slightly redesigned rear bumper.

Of course, the Swedish construction company did not leave the interiors unchanged. The most obvious changes center on the instrument panel, the new seats and the addition of extra equipment. The novelty of the novelties is a multimedia system with a seven-inch touch screen with internet access and voice command.

The Swedish brand also improved its engines to make these three models more economical and environmentally friendly. For example, the S60's 115 hp DRIVe diesel engine now consumes 4.0 l/100km (0.3 liters less) and registers 106 g/km of CO2 emissions (8 g/km less). The 1.6 liter GTDi with 180 hp (T4) of the S60 has an average consumption of 6.8 l/100km and 159 g/km of CO2 emissions, minus 0.3 l/100 km and 5 g/km, repeatedly.

Volvo's three new Musketeers will be on display at the Geneva Motor Show from 4 to 17 March this year.
