Between the 12th and 14th of July the Algarve Classic Cars is back on the road

Organized by Portugal Classic in conjunction with the Clube Português de Automóveis Antigos, the historic regularity rally Algarve Classic Cars will, for the twenty-seventh year, hit the road.

Thus, between the 12th and 14th of July, the Algarve's roads will be “invaded” by classic cars in yet another edition of one of the biggest events of its kind, not only in Portugal but throughout the Iberian Peninsula.

The regularity test will include stages in Vilamoura, Portimão, Armação de Pêra and passages through Paderne, Lagoa, Carvoeiro, S. Brás de Alportel and Loulé. This year, the Algarve Classic Cars also includes sporting events within the scope of the European City of Sport 2019 in Portimão.

The Algarve Classic Cars program

The Algarve Classic Cars will start on the 12th of July, at the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura. There, at 10:00 am, the secretariat will open, and the departure for the first stage (Murganheira on the Vilamoura Casino circuit) is scheduled for 19:00, and is scheduled to end around 20:00.

Three stages are reserved for the 13th: Mercedes-Benz / Starsul, Turismo do Algarve and Viborel. The first starts at 9:30 am and will feature a special qualifying test at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve at around 11:30 am.

The second starts at 3:30 pm, departing from Portimão, passing through Carvoeiro around 3:40 pm and arriving at Vila Vita Parc at 4:30 pm. Finally, the third stage on Saturday begins at 17:00 at the Opticália Circuit in Armação de Pêra, departing towards Vilamoura (but with a neutralization at Algarve Shopping at 17:30).

On the last day of the Algarve Classic Cars, the departure for the Conrad Algarve stage will be given around 10:00 am, with a special test at Cerro S.Miguel being reserved for 11:00 am and a neutralization at S. Brás de Alportel for 11:30 am. The distribution of prizes is scheduled for 4pm on the 14th of July at Conrad Algarve.
