Nissan has new general manager in Portugal

With nearly 20 years of work at the brand, Antonio Melica was until then Regional Sales Director at Nissan Europe, being responsible for supervising and coordinating the brand's operations in the regions of Central Europe, Iberia and Russia, markets that represent around 40% of the European market.

Of Italian nationality, he assumes himself as a European citizen, the result of, throughout his professional career, having already lived in several European countries. He was in Portugal from April 2005 to December 2006 as Marketing Director. Antonio Melica studied in the Netherlands, USA and Italy, where he graduated in Economics from the L.U.I.S.S. “Guido Carli”, Rome.

In 2014 he moved to Switzerland, to Nissan's European headquarters in Rolle, where he took over the general marketing direction at European level for the main and most exciting Nissan models – among them the Qashqai, the X-Trail and the mythical GT -R – before taking up the position prior to the appointment of Director General of Nissan in Portugal.

Returning to Portugal at this time represents a huge satisfaction for me and a reason for great motivation.
