We have a leader. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC) is the first leader of the Rally de Portugal, completing the 3.36 km of the Lousada super special in just 2m36.6s. A time repeated to the hundredth of a second by the Ford Fiesta WRC of Mads Ostberg, also with a record of 2m36.6 seconds.
In third place, and just 0.1 seconds off the top two, comes New Zealander Hayden Paddon (Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC). In fourth place was Elfyn Evans, from the British team M-Sport.
Closing the TOP 5, we find Spaniard Dani Sordo (Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC) who stopped the clock 0.5 seconds slower than his teammate. The reigning world champion, Sébastien Ogier (Ford M-Sport), took another 0.7 seconds and is now in 6th place in the race.
