Despite being just an amateur render, the result is quite convincing. Note the respect for the current stylistic language of BMW and even the front bumpers with shapes that clearly remind us of the late BMW M135i.

Aesthetic issues aside, the future BMW M2 (G87), like the rest of the 2 Series Coupé, will retain rear-wheel drive. A clear distinction from the four-door Serie 2 Gran Coupe, which rests on the same foundation as the all-in-one Serie 1.
Mechanically, and as happens today, it is to be expected that the future M2 will receive a version of the same engine used in the next BMW M3.
