Porsche chose the best roads in the world (and us too...)

After anticipating the new models for 2015, Porsche decided to choose the best roads to enjoy the creations of Stuttgart.

Porsche decided to choose some of the best roads in the world. He set the tone and now he hopes that the brand's owners share with the world the best places to enjoy their sports. The route around the world can be found at this link, where Porsche invites its customers to submit their favorite roads through the GTS Factor app, where they download the GPS coordinates.

In the list, there are already some national roads. We highlight the Serra da Arrábida and the Serra de Janela, so often the stage for photo sessions by Razão Automóvel.

This entire strategy of presenting the GTS Factor app was combined with the presentation of the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, in New Zealand. Place with roads that invite you to enjoy the Porsche experience while being dazzled by breathtaking views.

Here at Razão Automóvel we couldn't let this opportunity pass us by and therefore we submitted our own top 5 of the best roads across the 5 continents, choosing the ideal Porsche for the occasion.

In 5th place, a road that is not for the faint of heart. We started this tour around the world through the Asian continent, on a road that is a real test of structural rigidity. We are talking about the road that crosses the Taihang Mountains in China, very famous for its long, narrow tunnels. This road cuts through the Taihang Mountain for a total distance of 88km, with a superb view, but which at the same time requires the utmost attention from the driver.

The Porsche Boxster GTS was chosen for this road. Its 330hp is more than enough to enjoy the landscapes in the open air – with PDK box and with the sport chrono package, accelerations from 4.7s to 100km/h promise a lot of fun.

In 4th place, we stopped by African lands, more precisely in South Africa on the magnificent Garden Route, which connects Cape Town to Port Elizabeth along 749km.

As it is not a demanding road, it is possible to enjoy the views, in the presence of the most varied fauna and flora and with that sunset that only Africa has. The Porsche chosen to contemplate wild nature leads us to opt for the keys of the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabrio, with 430hp this is the perfect car to spread the African sea air in our faces and invade our senses in an open-air experience that cuts through. breathing.

In 3rd place, we go to Oceania, more specifically to Australia. Area with fantastic roads, able to provide us with a wide variety of scenarios and epic conditions to enjoy a Porsche and that's why we chose the 911 Targa 4S, to tour the Great Ocean Road.

It's 243km along the best of the Australian coast on a road that invites you to accelerate. Due to the winding layout, there is nothing better than having the 911 Targa 4S all-wheel drive to keep the fun on the «axles».

Stelvio-Pass-Italy

In 2nd place, one of the most famous roads in the old continent, there are 75km of curves linked by an elevation up to 1871m of altitude, starting (or ending…) in the Alps Ortler, in the Stelvio valley in Italy.

The road extends to Bolzano – 200m from the Swiss border. The view is breathtaking and the floor invites you to make the most of one of the best sports cars of the moment: the mythical 911 Turbo S. With its dazzling 560hp, we have more than enough power to make these 75km downhill or uphill, providing moments of unforgettable fun.

And in 1st place comes the Estrada Panamericana, with a length of 48,000km. Undoubtedly one of the best roads in the world for being a group of different roads that connect the entire American east coast. We chose the official route of just 3200km, starting in Huatulco, Mexico and ending in Zacatecas.

This road became famous for endurance races such as the Mille Miglia and the Targa Florio. Not forgetting the Carrera Panamericana, considered one of the toughest and most dangerous races of the 50s. That's why the Porsche chosen by us could only be the incredible Porsche 918 Spyder. With 887hp at 8500rpm, 2.6s from 0 to 100km/h and with a top speed of 345km/h, the 918 Spyder would be the ideal partner to explore this mythical track.

This is our choice, let us yours on our social networks and with which Porsche model you would challenge yourself to take the reins of fun.
