The next Audi Q5 is expected to be unveiled in September at the Paris Motor Show. The latest rumors indicate that a high-performance version could be released.

Due to the fact that the Audi Q5 integrates the Volkswagen MLB platform, the second generation of the German model is expected to use the same suspension components as the Porsche Macan. In terms of design, the Audi Q5 shouldn't stray too far from the current version; however, it is expected to be larger but 100 kg lighter.

According to the latest rumors, the crossover is likely to integrate the typical 2.0 TSI engines, with 252 hp, and 2.0 TDI, with 190 hp. But more importantly: an RS version was not ruled out, which could mean a 2.5 5-cylinder engine with 400 hp, all-wheel drive system and automatic transmission.

Another new feature is the revamped entertainment system and Matrix LED lights, while a plug-in hybrid version with a range of 70 km could be the next step.
