The Mercedes A45 AMG is already a vehicle with respectable performance, but what happens when the power delivered by the M133 block is unlocked with the help of Mchip? The result is a waste of power from every pore.
We've already brought you some works by Mcchip, but this time the result couldn't be more curious, as a tuning company decided to challenge the already superb and stretched Mercedes A45 AMG, to elevate it to a level decidedly “out of this world”.
Apparently the M133 block of the A45 AMG still hides an interesting reserve margin. With the «Midas touch» in the ECU reprogramming, operated by Mcchip in the Power Range 1 kit, the power goes from 360 horsepower and 450Nm of torque, to much more interesting values: 400 horsepower and 535Nm of torque. If the A45 AMG was already the owner of all the premises for fun, with 400 horsepower in the small A, the result can only be a luxury «pocket rocket».
But don't be fooled because Mcchip's madness doesn't stop there. Apparently, the next power kits are already cooking and the mad scientists at McChip are preparing the Power Range 2 Kit, which will allow the A45 AMG up to 420 horsepower while maintaining the same 535Nm of torque and only with the addition of the sports exhaust in addition to the usual reprogramming.
But if, like us at Razão Automóvel, they think that power is never too much, the people at Mcchip also think that limits exist to unlock, as the Power Range 3 Kit is already in preparation and truly adds a few more dust to the M133 .
The Power Range 3 kit will allow pulling the M133 block at 450 horsepower and 550Nm of maximum torque, but the recipe addressed by Mcchip becomes more exotic here. To reach these values, the A45 AMG, in addition to the reprogramming of the ECU and sports exhaust, will also receive another turbocharger, with a twin-turbo configuration for the 2.0l and 4 cylinder block.
Going forward, the sky is the limit and the help of the 4Matic system will be invaluable in keeping this A45 AMG a boy with manners.
