Dodge announced that the first unit of the new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat will participate in the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas 2014 auction, scheduled for September 27th. All proceeds from the auction of the first Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat will go to Opportunity Village, an organization that supports people with intellectual disabilities.
A noble cause, and one that comes shortly after the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat was crowned America's “King of Power” when it was declared the most powerful muscle car ever – 707 horsepower and 880 Nm of torque delivered by the V8 engine 6.2 liters, aided by a compressor and capable of producing an authentically "devilish" sound.
The unit that will be presented at auction, will be the «very first» Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat (Nameplate – VIN0001), will have the exclusive body color for the presentation Stryker Red, interior in Black Laguna leather, presentation box with HEMI signature, book of electronic production, photos of the model in question, Challenger SRT Hellcat bag for the iPad in Black Laguna leather and even a birth certificate! Never has a muscle car owner received such a dose of “pampering”…
