“Smarter, affordable and safer cars” is what young Europeans want. These were the conclusions of a study carried out by Goodyear of around 2,500 young Europeans.
Goodyear decided to carry out a study to find out what young people expect from modern cars. At the top of the concerns, more than 50% of young people consider the incorporation of new technologies in vehicles one of the biggest challenges in the next 10 years, namely at an environmental level. For others, the big challenge will be the launch of an intelligent car with higher levels of connectivity. In third place are concerns about safety: around 47% of young people showed interest in communication between vehicles, in order to avoid accidents.
However, only 22% of respondents want their car to be completely autonomous, with a lack of confidence in the technology the main reluctance. These are the main expectations of the younger audience until 2025:
