The preparer has developed a power package to push the German sports car to the limit.

RENNtech, a company specializing in aftermarket parts, took advantage of its extensive experience with models from the most renowned German brands (Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, VW, Audi, BMW, etc.) and made a power upgrade to the 4.0 liter V8 engine of the Mercedes- AMG GT S.

In addition to mechanical improvements, the RENNtech kit includes an improved compressor, larger rotors, high-flow air filters, a 200-cell catalytic converter and finally, a reprogramming of the ECU. All this makes the Mercedes-AMG GT S gain 180 hp of power and 218 Nm of torque, for a total of 716 hp and 888 Nm. The kit costs €10,675, and for an additional €1779 it is possible to add a set of adjustable coilovers and lowering the suspension up to 4cm.

RENNtech did not reveal performance figures, but bearing in mind that the series version takes just 3.8 seconds to complete the sprint from 0 to 100km/h and reaches 330 km/h top speed, it's not difficult to imagine the capacity acceleration of this more muscular variant.
