THE Citron C3 comes to take the place of the best seller of the French brand, with a renewed attitude, committed to conquering a young, urban and connected audience. Among other arguments, the main weapon of the new C3 is the bold design, where the front stands out, with a double chrome bar grille, and the colored 'floating' roof, printing supported by black pillars.
The airbumps on the doors give that touch of robustness, and can, like the headlamps and mirror covers, take on several colors for greater customization.
Inside the Citroën C3, the well-being of each passenger was analyzed in detail, from the contour of the seats to the light provided by the panoramic roof, passing through more practical issues, such as compartments for objects, without forgetting the comfort offered on the road by the suspension. The trunk has exemplary volume in the class, with 300 liters of capacity.
The C3 is proposed in four distinct interior themes – Ambiente, Metropolitan Grey, Urban Red and Hype Colorado – and three equipment levels – Live, Feel and Shine.
The Citroën C3 has state-of-the-art PureTech gasoline and BlueHDi diesel engines, all of them efficient and sober. Petrol 1.2 three-cylinder engines, 68, 82 and 110 hp (Stop & Start), with a five-speed manual transmission are available. In diesel, the offer is 1.6 four-cylinder engines, 75 and 100 hp (both with Stop & Start), also with manual transmission. As an option, it is also available with the EAT6 automatic transmission.
In the technological field, the new C3 debuts the ConnectedCAM Citroën, an HD camera with a 120-degree angle lens, connected, which allows capturing, in the form of images or videos, moments of life and sharing them on social networks immediately or just to keep them as travel souvenirs. It also serves as a security element, as in the event of an accident, the video of the 30 seconds immediately before and 60 seconds after the impact record is automatically saved.
Since 2015, Razão Automóvel has been part of the panel of judges for the Essilor Car of the Year/Crystal Wheel Trophy award.
The version that Citroën submits to competition in the Essilor Car of the Year/Trophy Crystal Steering Wheel, Citroën C3 1.2 PureTech 110 S/S Shine, mounts a three-cylinder engine with 1.2 liters and a power of 110 hp, originally coupled with a gearbox five-speed manual.
In terms of equipment, as standard this version is equipped with automatic A/C, 7” touchscreen with multifunction MirrorLink, rear view camera, Connect Box, Visibility Pack and traffic sign recognition.
In addition to the Essilor Car of the Year/Crystal Wheel Trophy, the Citroën C3 1.2 PureTech 110 S/S Shine also competes in the Citadino of the Year class, where it will face the Hyundai i20 1.0 Turbo.
