The 10th generation Honda Civic arrives in Portugal with a renewed design and a revised range of engines.
The new generation of Honda Civic is already on sale in Portugal (if you didn't know it's because you haven't followed our Instagram yet…) and Honda has a new importer – Sōzō – which promises to “capture new consumers and achieve sustained sales growth and coincident with the potential of the brand”.In this 10th generation, the Japanese brand's bestseller makes use of a more assertive posture, which results from an aesthetic concept with bold lines, a dynamic profile and reduced ground clearance. According to the brand, the new Civic was developed from scratch on a new platform and with increased attention to driving dynamics. Another of the big news is the debut of the 1.0 VTEC Turbo three-cylinder engine with 129 hp, which we were already able to test briefly in Portugal – as well as the more powerful 1.5 VTEC Turbo with 182 hp – which we tested in the outskirts of Barcelona. Prices from 23,300 euros
The new Honda Civic is already available in Portugal with two gasoline options, with the 1.6 i-DTEC Diesel version only reaching the national market in April 2018. Therefore, the new Honda Civic starts in the 23,300 € for version 1.0 i-VTEC Turbo Comfort with 6-speed manual gearbox, while the version with CVT gearbox (already at Elegance equipment level) starts at €27,390.
