SEAT's worldwide sales continue to grow in 2017, largely due to the renewed range of models that will culminate with the launch of the new Arona.

After ending 2016 on a positive note – it was the fourth consecutive year to grow – SEAT started the year off on the right foot. The month of January 2017 was the best since 2003, as a result of 32,300 models sold worldwide, which represents an increase of 16.5% compared to the same month of the previous year.

“We started the year with solid growth in our core markets, above the industry average. The product offensive is already having its reflexes in sales and in gaining market share. Ateca is enabling us to reach new customers while demand for Leon has increased thanks to the renewal of this model. Ibiza sales remain solid and remain above expectations, considering the final phase of the current generation”.

Wayne Griffiths, SEAT Vice President of Sales

The increase in sales was also verified in Portugal, as the 539 units registered in the first month of the year correspond to an increase of 20.9% compared to January 2016.

The fifth generation Ibiza, which hits the market next summer, together with the launch of the Arona, complete the biggest product offensive in the history of the Spanish brand.
