The launch of the new generation of the Astra model in Portugal is scheduled for November 19, with prices starting at 20,970 euros.
The new Astra range designed by Opel for the Portuguese market has 10 different versions, spread over three new levels of equipment. The focus is especially on the 1.0 Turbo, 105 hp, gasoline, and 1.6 CDTI 110 hp, diesel.The range of engines also includes the new 1.4 Turbo with 150 hp (petrol) and the 1.6 CDTI with 136 hp (diesel). All these engines belong to the brand's latest generation of aluminum powertrains. It should be remembered that at the end of 2013 the brand began a total renewal of its range of engines, with the launch of four new engine families.

According to João Falcão Neves, general director of Opel in Portugal, the Astra “is the best car that Opel has ever produced, it will have no difficulties in naturally imposing itself as one of the absolute references of the class”. The 1.0 Turbo range of options starts at 20,970 euros, while the 1.6-litre turbodiesel is available from 24,720 euros.
