Mazda Space opened a year ago and has since received over 100,000 visitors and 115 events. It's Mazda's cultural center in Europe, we've been there.

Opened on September 3, 2014, Mazda Space is intended to host more than just automobile-related events. Located in the El Born district of Barcelona, ​​it was conceived to operate as the new Mazda structure on European soil.

Much more than cars

At an average of 300 visitors a day, Mazda Space has hosted numerous conferences since the launch of the Mazda 2, CX-3 and Mazda MX-5. Apart from the automobile theme, this space has hosted landmark events, such as the monthly TEDx Barcelona meetings, design, fashion and photography exhibitions. It also hosted the Barcelona Challengers Conferences, meetings of Nobel Peace Prize laureates, activists and other personalities.

Mazda Motor Europe Vice President of Communications Wojciech Halarewicz revealed, “Naturally we expected to connect with people, allowing them to experience our brand, but the echoes coming from Mazda Space have been overwhelming.” The Mazda official added that "The space has become a real environment where minds can open and ideas flow freely."

Open to the public

Mazda Space in Barcelona is open to the public and as long as the schedule is not filled, it is possible to visit the space for free. Among other activities, it is possible to enjoy a historic exhibition of Mazda's 95 years.

Schedule

On September 23rd there is the third meeting of Barcelona Challengers Conferences, being the last of the three conferences in this series. Nobel Peace Laureate Jody Williams and Federico Pistono, author of the best-selling “Robots Will Steal Your Job, But That's OK, among other speakers, will talk about the future of employment in the world. There is no shortage of reasons to visit Mazda Space.
