The British brand has just presented the limited edition Aston Martin Vantage GT8. Simply the lightest and most powerful V8-powered Vantage ever.
In this new sports car, Aston Martin engineers repeated the formula used in the V12 Vantage S: weight reduction, power increase and improved aerodynamics. The sports car now weighs 1,610 kg thanks to a lighter bodywork where the large rear wing and front bumper stand out. However, the British brand has not renounced the equipment and technology inside, with an entertainment system, air conditioning and 160 watt sound system.SEE ALSO: Aston Martin V12 Vantage S with seven-speed manual transmission
The Aston Martin Vantage GT8 is powered by a 4.7 liter V8 engine with 446 hp and 490 Nm of torque, which communicates with the wheels via a six-speed manual transmission or a Sportshift II seven-speed semi-automatic transmission.
All this allows accelerations (estimated) from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and 305 km/h of top speed. Production was limited to just 150 units that will be released by the end of the year. Until then, stay with the presentation video:
