While we wait for the opportunity to drive bombs like the Mercedes SLS AMG or the Aston Martin DBS Volante, we'll show you what's best out there…

A few days ago the new Aston Martin Vanquish was released, which means there will be another Steering Wheel – Steering wheel is the word chosen by the British brand to name its convertible versions (go to find out why…). But this doesn't matter for today's comparison…

Tiff Needell, pilot and television presenter, teamed up with EVO magazine to make a “bombing” comparison between two machines that we all didn't mind having for a day in our hands. As you've already understood, we're talking about a face-to-face confrontation between a Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster and an Aston Martin DBS Volante.

The DBS exudes power from all sides, with its 5.9 liter V12 engine with 510 hp and 570 Nm of maximum torque making it possible to race from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. The German sports a no less powerful 6.2-litre V8 with 563 hp and 650 Nm of maximum torque. More than enough power to take this SLS to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.

Are the values of the Stuttgart machine enough to put the Aston Martin in a corner? That's what you'll discover now:
