Nikola Zero is the first big bet of Nikola Motors, a company that hits the market with an electric mobility project very similar to Tesla's – hence, like Tesla, Nikola Motors was inspired by the name of Croatian inventor Nikola Tesla. In a statement released this month (here in full), the company announced that the first working prototype of the Nikola One will debut on December 2nd, in Salt Lake City (USA) - world renowned for its long salt-covered plains and for the speed records.
Nikola Zero uses six electric motors powered by a 320kWh battery and a natural gas turbine (which works like , which incorporates a 320kWh battery, more than 2,000 hp of power and 5020 Nm of maximum torque . According to Nikola Motors Company, the autonomy of the One can reach 1900 km, thus achieving a 50% reduction in costs per km compared to diesel trucks. Trevor Milton, CEO of Nikola, goes further and even says his truck is “the holy grail of the road transport industry“.

“We are not aware of any other heavy electric vehicle that can transport more than 36 tonnes for more than a thousand kilometers without stopping. And it only takes 15 minutes to recharge the batteries for another thousand kilometers”. The brand claims to have more than 7,000 reservations for this model. in addition to the One, Nikola Motors Company will also launch a 100% electric UTV with more than 500 hp of power.
