The Lamborghini Huracan Spyder arrived in Frankfurt determined to impress. Hold on tight, this specimen of Sant’Agata Bolgnese is no joke.
If there's one thing that those who've tried it won't forget the feeling of driving an open-air sports car, the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder promises that and much more. In addition to being a (super) sports car that allows you to circulate in “open skies”, it also offers us an atmospheric 5.2 V10 engine with 610 hp at 8,250 rpm screaming in our ears. This is the engine that is also available in the “closed” version of the Lamborghini Huracan.
Looking at the list of performances, the values become an odyssey for any petrolhead's dreams: the scale shows 1542 kg for the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder and in the traditional sprint of 0-100 km/h the timer stops at 3.4 seconds. Continuing to accelerate, we find 200 km/h at 10.2 seconds and if the will is strong and the law allows it, the maximum speed will only reach 324 km/h. Ceramic discs help you stop, don't worry.
Hair in the wind in 17 seconds
The top of the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder is soft top style, electric and of course completely new. 17 seconds (and up to 50 km/h) is all it takes to go from the silent comfort of a closed spyder to a deafeningly deafening Lamborghini Huracan Spyder open to all senses.
The Lamborghini Huracan Spyder also has 20-inch wheels, LED lights, brake shoes available in different colors and a 12.3-inch TFT screen in place of the “old man” quadrant. There is also a start&stop and cylinder deactivation system “cylinder on demand”, signs of the times.
How much does it consume? Nobody wants to know, yet Lamborghini claims 12.3 l/100 km on mixed cycle. The price? 182,000 euros plus Portuguese taxes, which in the end should be something like a lot of money. The first units will be delivered in spring 2016.
