THE BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands is a study elaborated by Kantar Millward Brown, with the purpose of measuring the value of the main world brands, among them, the automobile brands. And in the 12 years of this ranking's existence, Toyota has occupied the top spot in the table 10 times, only losing the lead twice (always by small margins) to BMW.

This year, unsurprisingly, Toyota returned to lead the ranking, even though it has seen its absolute value decline. A general trend in the automotive sector, the result of the uncertainty that "hangs in the air" regarding the electrification of the industry and autonomous driving – the hot topics of the moment. Together, the 10 most valuable car brands in the world are now worth €123.6 billion.
