New Nissan GT-R NISMO: even sharper blade

In the new Nissan GT-R NISMO the brand focused on agility and aerodynamics. Arrives next year.

After the updates made to the Nissan GT-R, now it's time for the NISMO version. Curious to know how many “more” horses the new version has? No more. The twin-turbo 3.8-litre V6 engine continues to deliver the same 595hp and 650Nm of maximum torque – did you know that each unit is handcrafted by a single Takumi master craftsman?

Instead of increasing the power of the Nissan GT-R Nismo even more, the brand bet on other fields: agility and aerodynamics. The GT-R Nismo has adopted a design that emphasizes aerodynamic efficiency and downward forces even more, thanks in large part to the new side fans next to the exhaust pipes, wider skirts and some merely aesthetic touches at the rear. According to Nissan, the increase in downforce in relation to the sports car's pre-facelift improves the ability to turn by 2%.

Inside the cabin, the Japanese sports car got a new dashboard (with a “horizontal flow” format) and instrument panel, covered in leather. Also in leather are the Recaro sports seats with red accents, exclusive to the Nissan GT-R NISMO version.

Basically, it's the same old Nissan GT-R NISMO, only now it's sharper, sharper and… current. How will the next one be? Maybe like this…
