According to Reiter Engineerig and Lamborghini, the German competition team has just signed a strategic agreement with the Italian brand to extend the production of the Gallardo GT3. Agreement that will be extended for another 2 years, that is, in practice we will see Gallardos GT3 for another 2 years competing in the most diverse tourism championships, endurance events and trophy competitions. But the agreement is valid for 5 years, which may include a possible Cabrera GT3 in the future.
The Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2 is based on the 2013 model, but has several upgrades to keep it competitive on the track.
These upgrades include the 24H braking system, a high-fatigue system fully adapted for endurance tests. On a mechanical level, the entire cooling system was revised and, amazingly, even consumptions were reduced.
The Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2 also features a new, more efficient aerodynamic package with new front spoilers and carbon rear diffusers, entirely based on those used in the Super Trofeo version. Another of the great advantages of this Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2 is that as a result of all the improvements it was subjected to, it was possible to operate a 25kg diet compared to the GT3 version.

It is also for the first time in history that a GT3 car from an external development team such as Reiter Engineering has jointly developed a GT3 car, in exclusive partnership with Lamborghini.
Lifting the veil on the mechanics of this Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2, we can count on an engine equal to the Lamborghini LP550-2, but as you can see from the image of the engine compartment, the intake box with air filters is non-existent, being replaced by 2 aluminum inlet trumpets.
In terms of chassis and bodywork, we can count on the ultra light structure, based on the spaceframe concept entirely in aluminum. Structural body reinforcements are located in the suspension towers on the 2 axles. The safety roll cage is fully FIA approved and the windows are made of MaKrolon, an acrylic derivative, which is thinner and more resistant.
The double-arm suspension and quick-adjusting stabilizer bars are fully developed by Reiter Engineering and features other suspension elements courtesy of Öhlins, with customizable shock absorbers. The braking system, has the magic touch of Brembo and can count on 18-inch magnesium wheels.
Finally, the aerodynamic kit has the customizable adjustment of the rear wing and the cabin is ventilated through the air intake in the roof. The competition seats are in Kevlar and come in 2 versions, allowing the perfect fit for taller or shorter riders.
The Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2 transports us to the world of competition at more affordable prices than the other proposals, especially if we take into account the Mercedes SLS AMG GT3, with much higher acquisition and maintenance costs. It can't be said to be a low-cost proposition, but it could bring perfectly serious dividends in competition with a more restrained investment.
