It is already known that in a winning formula, little or nothing should be stirred and taking that into account, Nissan opted to give a fresher air to the Juke and present it in Geneva as a novelty.
Despite the appearance of the Nissan Juke not always consensual, the truth is that the model is far from being a failure of the brand. If the rules dictate that few cosmetic changes must be made to keep the proposal attractive, this Nissan Juke seems to have received an intensive anti-wrinkle cream overnight.
The Nissan Juke's previous lighting looked somewhat dated and with details that insisted on not fitting in well in everyone's eyes. Nissan resolved these details, providing the Juke with the 370Z optics in the upper area where it integrates the daytime lighting LEDs and the direction change indicators (turn signals).
The changes are not limited to details of other models included in the Nissan Juke, the Xenon lighting is finally present and adds another distinct touch, which contributes to the good appearance of the Juke, as well as the new Nissan grille, completely redesigned.
When it comes to spice up and personalizing the Nissan Juke, a new panoramic roof with partial opening and new wheels are available. As the Nissan Juke is a car that is wanted with an image of irreverence and youthfulness, Nissan also offers new exterior and interior colors, as well as wheels with inserts in the body color.
For all those who considered the luggage space tight, Nissan opted to redesign the available space increasing the luggage capacity by 40%, only in 2WD versions, to 354L of capacity.
In terms of mechanics, the alarm for motive proposals more consistent with the times in which we live and the fact that the Nissan Juke could be the 1st car of many drivers, Nissan decided to introduce the 1.2 DIG-T block, which actually replaces the obsolete 1.6 atmospheric block. The 1.2 DIG-T, recently debuted in the new Nissan Qashqai, is capable of 116 horsepower and 190Nm of maximum torque and consumption is at an advertised 5.5L/100km, largely relying on the help of the start/stop system specific and the absence of all-wheel drive.
Also in the gasoline offer, the 1.6 DIG-T suffered a few minor touches, so that it delivers more torque at low revs, especially below 2000rpm, favoring urban traffic. This factor led to the revision of the compression ratio to a higher value and to equipping the 1.6 DIG-T with an EGR valve, optimized for a lower operating temperature.
The 1.5 DC diesel block, continues without changes and unfortunately, the Nissan Juke is only available with the optional all-wheel drive on the 1.6 DIG-T engine, which gains a 6-speed manual gearbox and the CVT-type automatic gearbox, which receives the Xtronic designation, as an option.
In terms of interior functionality, the new Nissan Juke gains new options: the NissanConnect systems, Nissan Safety Shield and the Around View screen.
