Revealed a few months ago, the Hyundai Bayon , the newest and smallest member of the South Korean brand's SUV/Crossover “family” is about to hit our market.

Now available for pre-order with online booking, Bayon has a launch price from €18,700 , but with financing. As for online booking, this can be done on the dedicated page on Hyundai's website for this purpose.

With the usual Hyundai warranty — seven years with unlimited kilometers, seven years of roadside assistance and seven years of free annual check-ups — Bayon is still in our country with one more offer: roof painting (option bi-tone).

The Hyundai Bayon

Based on the i20 platform, the Hyundai Bayon is 4180mm long, 1775mm wide, 1490mm high and has a wheelbase of 2580mm. It also offers a luggage compartment with 411 liters of capacity.

The dimensions blend in with those of Kauai, they are so close, but the new Bayon will be positioned below this one, pointing to the heart of the B-SUV segment.

Equipped with the Hyundai SmartSense security system, Bayon uses, unsurprisingly, the same engines already used by the Hyundai i20.

In other words, at the base of the range we have the 1.2 MPi with 84 hp and a five-speed manual transmission to which is added the 1.0 T-GDi with two power levels, 100 hp or 120 hp, which is available with a mild-hybrid system 48V (optional on the 100hp variant and standard on the 120hp).

The interior is identical to the i20. We have a 10.25” digital instrument panel and an 8” center screen, plus wirelessly connected Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

When it comes to transmissions, when equipped with the mild-hybrid system, the 1.0 T-GDi is coupled with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission or a six-speed intelligent manual (iMT) transmission.

Finally, in the 100 hp variant without mild-hybrid system, the 1.0 T-GDi is coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic or six-speed manual transmission.
