Citroën C2: the hot hatch with two V6 engines

Anonim

From city friendly to monster with two V6 engines. It's not how it starts, it's how it ends.

Gary Stone, a “crazy” for French hot hatches, decided to radically transform his Citroën C2 VTR. From the "eight to the eighty", he swapped the 1.6-liter 16-valve engine for a V6 block from a Peugeot 406. Everything went smoothly until the C2 burned down in his own garage. End of the project, but not of the dream… Convinced that one day he would have a Citroën C2 “up to him”, Gary didn't have half measures and bought another C2 (in the images).

To make up for the old car's pyromaniac tragedy, Gary decided to put in not one but two V6 engines similar to the one he had used previously. The two engines (together) deliver 386hp and 535Nm of maximum torque. The front engine was fitted under a new – custom-made – sub-frame, while the rear was fitted using the 406's sub-frame and ground connections. To make things even more interesting the rear differential was soldered, so is 100% blocked (the budget was tight). Because drift...

In terms of safety, the brake discs are 320mm in diameter with Brembo calipers at the front and 283mm at the rear. FK coilovers and integral rollbar complete the bouquet. A very interesting project and a bit crazy. How we like…
