The Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 was a true salon surprise, a rare occurrence in our times. With the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6, the B ado brand unveils a hypothetical sports car, also serving as a visual manifesto for the next generation of models.
If two years ago, in this same salon, the Bentley EXP 9 F concept also shocked adults and frightened children, anticipating the brand's future SUV, Bentley finds redemption with the much more appealing and exciting Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6, a concept that reveals the brand's own interpretation of the sports car theme.
The EXP 10 Speed 6 assumes itself as a front engine coupe and only two seats. The more contained dimensions compared to the Continental GT are evident and the proportions are that of a pure Grand Touring. We can see a profile that perfectly fits the established canons for this type of car, such as the Mercedes-AMG GT, the Aston Martin Vantage or even the Jaguar F-Type.
The compact dimensions, generously sized wheels and expressively sculpted surfaces result in a structured and athletic-looking set, as it should be in a true sports car. But the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 is and will always be a Bentley first and there can be no doubt about that. Thus, the motto for the design was to develop contemporary interpretations of typical Bentley style elements, resulting in a fusion between the most modern technologies and the progressive craft techniques that are so appreciated by the brand.
Nothing seems to have stayed the same in the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6. From the iconic Bentley matrix grille to the optics, to the classic British Racing Green tone – deepened, enriched and more metallic. New technologies, such as 3D printing, have opened up creative and execution possibilities in filling the grid – the “6” on the grid, for example, is only visible from some angles -, exhausts, door handles and side air vents. Despite the general approval, the more detailed and isolated analysis of some of these elements has caused points of contention among the most varied observers.
As for execution and presentation, there is no room for controversy. It's a salon concept, but the quality is impeccable. Even more in evidence when we access the interior, where all superlatives are justified.
