Skoda reveals VisionE silhouette. Kodiaq Coupe on the way?

The Skoda Kodiaq Coupé may be anticipated by VisionE, a concept of an electric SUV that will be presented at the Shanghai Motor Show, which starts next month.

As we know, the design language of a brand is constantly evolving. VisionC anticipated in 2014 the new Superb and VisionS quite faithfully anticipated what would become the new SUV of the Czech brand, the Kodiaq. THE Vision will be the latest chapter of this developing language. But it's not just that.

“In just a few years, Skoda's new design language has already given rise to a series of design studies that point to the future of the brand. Our goals are now well defined, and we are ready to take the next step.”

Karl Neuhold, Head of Exterior Design at Skoda.

The Skoda VisionE reveals not only an SUV with a coupe-like silhouette, but it should also be 100% electric. It is in the plans of the Mlada Boleslav brand to add a zero-emission model to its portfolio at the beginning of the next decade.

Anyway, and taking into account an image leak at a Skoda presentation in China, which confirms the launch of Skoda Kodiaq Coupe, VisionE can very well anticipate what the future model will look like.

Everything indicates that the new Kodiaq Coupé will initially focus on the Chinese market, but it should also reach the European market. In addition to the Kodiaq Coupé, two new SUVs will reach the brand's production lines: the Model Q, which should be the successor of the current Yeti, and the Model K, a smaller crossover, rival of proposals such as Renault Captur, Peugeot 2008 among others.

With the Shanghai Show at the door, it is to be expected news from the Czech brand as early as next month.
