It is not by chance that a project of this nature arises. The appearance of a MINI as daring as the MINI Superleggera Vision Concept coincides with one of the biggest events, in terms of elegance competitions, held in Europe.

Located a few kilometers from Milan, is the region of Cernobbio and in this small Italian province, is situated Lake Como, which bathes precisely the coast where the wonderful and picturesque Villa D'Este is located, place that hosts this famous Elegance Competition, since 1929.

This year, with the BMW Group being one of the main organizers of the event, the competition gained even more relevance with the commemoration of the 110th anniversary of Rolls Royce. With the participation of 50 rarities from the automotive world, including Rolls Royce itself, BMW wanted to shock spectators with something refined, but at the same time with a sporty and modern touch.
Entirely built especially for this event, the MINI Superleggera Vision Concept will seek a mix of origins for its conception. Although it is built by Mini, it also received the touch of Touring Superleggera's Italian artisans. For the more distracted, these are responsible for the super exclusive Alfa Romeo Disco Volante.

The stylistic features of this MINI Superleggera Vision Concept couldn't be more obvious. The front captures the essence of today's Mini, with a subtle touch that only Italian design can imprint on bodywork shapes and still manages to retain typically British details, such as the rear fin reminiscent of the Jaguar D-Type. On the back, the detail of the optics reminds us of the crosses of St. George, St. Patrick and St. Andrew, present on the flag of the United Kingdom.

The dimensions of this MINI are the same that so guide the brand, but they are also a tribute to small British roadsters. The interior, although simplistic, concentrates all the information necessary for the center, in a typically MINI way. Note also for leather coverings and brushed aluminum inserts.
Mechanically, little or no information is given as official or with specific data, but the unit present in the elegance contest was animated by a 100% electric propulsion, who knows, based on the mechanics of the BMW i3, which suggests that in the In the future, the next BMW Group brand to benefit from electric mobility could well be the Mini.
