A study by the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) recently released the results of an assessment of more than 76 thousand opinions, from users from different countries, about the trust placed in car brands.
The list of the most reliable brands is made up of 37 manufacturers, of which eleven are German and eight are Japanese.
From the ranking of the most reliable brands, Lexus, Honda and Porsche make up the podium of the table, while Land Rover, Fiat and Alfa Romeo close the last places in the list of brands still on the market. Still, the proximity between all brands is noteworthy.
Data for the study of the most reliable brands were obtained through a survey carried out between March and April 2017, in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Belgium. Respondents were asked to rate their experiences with at most two of their cars, and 76,881 ratings were obtained.
Rankings by segment
In SUVs, the Toyota Yaris, Renault Twingo and Toyota Aygo were the models that garnered the highest number of votes.
Among the compact models, Toyota Auris and BMW 1 Series stood out in first place, followed by Honda Insight.
On the Berliners, Toyota once again leads with the Prius, followed by BMW and Audi with the 5 Series and A5 models respectively and both in second place.
Losing way to SUVs, minivans were also analyzed, and the study placed the Ford C-Max in first place, along with the Toyota Verso. In second place is the Skoda Roomster, a discontinued model. With regard to SUVs and 4×4 models, Toyota once again stood out with the first SUV on the market, the RAV4. The Audi Q3 and Mazda CX-5, however, gathered the same score as the Toyota model.
