Hyundai sets a new sales record for the second consecutive year

The main objective is to make Hyundai the number 1 Asian brand in Europe in 2021.

According to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), 2016 was the best year ever for Hyundai in Europe , resulting from the 505,396 registrations issued during the year. This value represents a growth of 7.5% compared to 2015; in Portugal, the growth was 67.4% compared to the previous year.

For the second year in a row, Hyundai achieved a sales record based on the range renewal strategy. Here, the highlight goes to the Hyundai Tucson, which was the fastest selling model, with more than 150,000 units sold in 2016.

Throughout this year, we will also announce evolutions and new models in other segments, expanding our product range to a wider audience”.

In 2017, the South Korean brand is preparing to receive in Europe the new generation of the Hyundai i30, which will soon be available in the «old continent». Moreover, the i30 family will also gain new models, with emphasis on the first high-performance variant, the Hyundai i30 N, which hits the market in the second half of 2017.
