As a teaser for its new SUV, the Czech brand exhibited two very revealing drawings of the design of the new Skoda Kodiaq.

A versatile and robust SUV with precise and elegant lines. This is how Jozef Kabaň, head of Skoda's design department, describes the brand's new oversized proposal, which will position itself above the Skoda Yeti. Based on the Skoda VisionS, the Skoda Kodiaq should resemble the prototype presented in Geneva, as suggested by the designs revealed by the brand.

In fact, versatility is the watchword in a model that, according to the brand, will have the largest trunk in the segment. The Skoda Kodiaq will be marketed in a 5-seat configuration; however, a 7-seater version will be available thanks to an extra row of seats (folding).

Little is known about the engines that will equip the Skoda Kodiaq, but taking into account that the Czech brand is part of the Volkswagen group, the new model should be available with a range of engines similar to the equivalent proposals of Seat (Ateca) and Volkswagen (Tiguan). Furthermore, an all-wheel drive system is to be expected for the more powerful versions.

The Skoda Kodiaq will be officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, which runs from 1st to 16th October. The launch could take place later this year.
